Introduction to St Augustine's

St Augustine's Catholic Primary School is home to 210 pupils aged 4-11 of all faiths and none. The children spend their primary years loving, learning and having fun in the stunning grounds of Brockhill Country Park, with spectacular sea views.

The St Augustine's experience has relationships and values at its heart, with a strong academic record, fantastic teaching, facilities and a whole host of opportunities beyond the classroom available to every child, every day. We are continuously inspired to be the best version of ourselves, whether building dams or dens under the trees at breaktime, grappling with fractions and painting, or reaching out in loving kindness to others.

Our best and most important asset is our children. From 1894 to the present day, we have been educating children to become loving, well-rounded, motivated, confident young people who stand up for what they believe in and know their actions can change the world around them. Young people who inspire others to be the very best version of themselves.

At its very heart of the school is the Catholic faith, with Gospel and family values lived out in all our relationships, actions and decisions. We do not seek to judge but to include: our school welcomes those of all backgrounds and is home to families of all faiths and none. We encourage every child to discover and develop their own special gifts and talents and use these to benefit others.

What our families have in common is the desire for a warm, friendly, family school dedicated to ensuring every child knows they are uniquely precious and capable of great things.

Our aim is for every pupil to have an idyllic childhood - we value, nurture and encourage the whole child, becoming a springboard, enabling them to soar towards the next step of their education and beyond. The children have 'one shot' at their primary education, and we are committed to ensuring their experience is the very best it can be.
