PE and Sport Premium

"All pupils leave primary school physically literate

and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them

for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport"

DfE Vision Statement for Primary PE and Sports Premium

What is the Sports Premium?

In April 2013, the Government announced new PE and sport funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and sport. This funding is intended to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. The funding has been provided to ensure impact against the following objective: to achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools. It is important to emphasise that the focus of spending must lead to long lasting impact against the vision (above) that will live on well beyond the PE and sport funding.

A full breakdown of how we intend to use this year's funding along with how the funding is spent at St Augustine's is found in the document below.
